Telangiectasia

These fine surface blood vessels can become sufficiently noticeable to warrant treatment.

Telangiectasia may arise for a variety of reasons often in association with rosacea or sun damage. Our lasers and IPLs allow us to treat telangiectasia with a range of machines depending on the size, site and pattern of the vessels. The number of treatments required depends on the size and site of the vessels. The treatment is painful but is usually well tolerated, topical anaesthesia can be used if necessary. Whilst the outcome can not be guaranteed it usually possible to produce a significant, sustained improvement. Similar treatments can be used to treat some cases of fine dilated surface leg veins.
