Dr Manrup Kaur Hunjan is a highly qualified Consultant Dermatologist, registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and recognised as a specialist in her field. With a warm and understanding approach, she is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their skin goals while appreciating the profound impact skin health has on overall well-being and quality of life.
Dr Hunjan currently practices at Skindoc and holds an NHS Consultant Dermatologist post at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where she leads specialist clinics in acne, skin cancer, and paediatric dermatology. Her holistic approach to dermatology ensures that each patient receives personalised care tailored to their unique needs.
Dr Hunjan’s journey to becoming a Consultant Dermatologist began with her medical studies at the University of Birmingham. Following this, she completed 12 years of rigorous training, including Dermatology Specialist Training in the West Midlands. She holds a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Dermatology, placing her among an elite group of approximately 1,000 doctors in the UK on the GMC Specialist Register for Dermatology.
Her commitment to advancing dermatological care is evident in her extensive academic and clinical achievements. Dr Hunjan undertook a research fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in the USA and completed further dermatology training at St John’s Institute of Dermatology and in the West Midlands. During her training, she also completed a fellowship in Epidermolysis Bullosa at the national centres at Solihull Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, alongside earning a Master’s in Research.
Dr Hunjan has been recognised with numerous awards and has published and presented her research on both national and international platforms. She remains actively involved in dermatological research and is passionate about mentoring and supervising medical students and junior doctors, fostering the next generation of dermatology specialists.
Outside of her clinical and academic commitments, Dr Hunjan enjoys planning her next travel adventure, spending quality time with her family, and expressing her creativity through painting.
