Miss McGuinness is an experienced Consultant Surgeon and an accredited Subspecialist in Vascular Surgery.
Miss McGuinness specialises in minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of varicose veins and has extensive experience in the management of vascular conditions.
She graduated from St. George’s Hospital, London in 1987. She underwent Specialist training at various large teaching hospitals in the UK including St. Thomas’ Hospital before undertaking a research lectureship there to obtain her Master of Surgery degree.
She became a Consultant Surgeon and Senior Lecturer at St. Thomas’ in 1999.
She has been the Director of many courses on the laser treatment of varicose veins.
Miss McGuinness is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a member of the British Association of Sclerotherapists.
